Juschnouralsk

At least since our lead article in Issue 12, readers of the Scheffer News know that Scheffer has long since been a partner in demand in Russia for complex crane systems, especially for the modern galvanizing plants being established there.

What was still in the starting blocks in 2012 is today a firm reality – for example in Juschnouralsk. Here on the eastern edge of the southern Urals, a hot dip galvanizing plant to the latest technical standards has been constructed under the direction of the general contractor KVK Koerner. The plant produces and galvanizes mainly lattice power masts for the updating of the Russian infrastructure. The galvanization of external products is also logistically possible and planned. The focus of the complete production process is not only on quality and efficiency – the private investor group has also taken the greatest care to ensure compliance with the latest environmental protection measures, and from the very start has invested in fully encapsulated pre-treatment. Production has been underway since mid-2012 – with the active support of the latest Scheffer transport technology. Pre-treatment, galvanization and the integrated passivation line work fully automatically, and the other areas manually like the fitting and dismantling areas.
