SCHEFFERS Scope - Everything from a single source
Large vertical range of services and manufacture affords maximum flexibility
Due to the high complexity of fully automated transport systems, customers or general contractors often have no choice but to call on external companies and partners in many areas. To counter the associated problems (e.g. communication issues), one of Scheffer Krantechnik’s overriding objectives has always been to combine the key project implementation areas under one roof, as far as possible. Just some of the main advantages include short communication channels, short-term decision-making options and a high level of knowledge sharing between the departments.
Scheffer Krantechnik brings together a large variety of areas under one roof: from project planning, construction and manufacturing to the final commissioning on site.
Below is a brief overview:
Together with the sales team, a team accompanies the customer from the first idea to the final implementation on site. It assists with the conceptual design of the required plant and helps the customer to find the best possible solution. It also steers and monitors project progress and brings the project to a successful conclusion.
Working with state-of-the-art simulation technology affords an extremely detailed and realistic view of the functions and processes of the planned plant right from the early planning stage. It also offers customers maximum planning reliability.
A team which currently comprises 16 experienced engineers and technicians implements the devised solution and uses the latest CAD programs to develop a roadmap for subsequent production.
A team of 10 specialists handles the ongoing new and further development of the electrotechnical aspects of the plants and products. Electrical engineering also involves programming the automation programs, which are complex at times, and adapting them to the customer’s specific requirements. Thanks to our team’s many years of experience, we are not only able to design fully automated individual cranes but also complete transport systems.
Scheffer Krantechnik’s manufacturing process includes structural work, paintwork, assembly and extensive pre-commissioning of the plants and products prior to delivery. This guarantees that the plants are fully functional at the customer’s site. Our entire in-house production process takes place in our Sassenberg plant, with the support of various departments.
Our in-house commissioning and assembly team makes sure that the on-site installation runs smoothly. Our experts take care of the assembly of manual cranes to fully automated transport systems, including manual and automatic commissioning.
